Tom Mason

Overview

For the last 10 years Tom has worked in a variety of technology domains and specialist software creation roles. He has led development teams on consulting and internal projects and also worked as a hands-on developer of systems, ranging from large bespoke e-commerce sites to more specialist CRM and business management products.

An evangelist for new breeds of technology particularly in the mobile arena, and in addition to his expertise in software architecture and development, Tom is crucial in driving businesses with requirements in these areas. Tom was at school at Eton College and received a BEng with Honours in Software Engineering from The University of Edinburgh.


YouSoft
Tom founded YouSoft Ltd in 2007 as a bespoke software consultancy now based in Westbourne Studios, London. Tom started YouSoft having worked in web and software development for several years and the firm currently custom-builds a range of web-based solutions for around 40 companies across the UK. Specialising in application architecture and interface design, Tom has an extensive knowledge of web and database systems and has used these skills over the years in working with a range of top-end firms including Adidas, British Airways, FILA, Sony, RBS, HSBC, HP, BMW, Golfbreaks.com and many others.

Directorships
VPAR is a company that Tom helped to found and build in around 2008 and is currently involved as CTO. VPAR is a multi-platform real-time live scoring system for golf. The leader in the industry, VPAR supplies scoring systems to hundreds of corporate, professional and amateur golf days around the world every year. The system runs on all mobile devices and employs touch-screen technology for on-course leaderboards.

He's got a great ability to take lots of information and distil that to the key points and help other people create meaning for themselves with it.
